pdfminer-data software package provides PDF parser and analyser (encoding data), you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install pdfminer-data
pdfminer-data is installed in your system.
Make ensure the pdfminer-data package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep pdfminer-data *
You will get with pdfminer-data package name, version, architecture and description in a table
